• Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in servicing various types of equipment, including heavy machinery and automotive vehicles. This role requires a hands-on approach to repair, maintenance, and assembly tasks, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities • Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment including forklifts, and industrial equipment. • Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. • Engage in vehicle maintenance activities such as brake repair, alignment, transmission work, and HVAC systems. • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols. • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. • Assist in the assembly of new equipment as required. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while managing heavy lifting tasks as needed. Experience • Previous experience in a dealership or as a service technician is preferred. • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, diesel engine repair, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and tire service. Welding is preferred. • Familiarity with OEM parts and specifications is a plus. • Experience with fabrication processes is beneficial. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.
