Check out our website: https://forefronthealthcare.com/ Job Responsibilities: • Performs age-specific nutrition assessments for our diverse inpatient and outpatient population based on historical, clinical, and lab data, including nutrition-focused assessments when indicated to identify patients at risk of malnutrition. • Provides appropriate interventions and initiates individualized nutrition care plans utilizing the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process. • Provides education on therapeutic diets, eating disorders, and healthy nutrition to patients and/or caregivers based on the patients' needs and provider consults. This includes an assessment of the patient's learning needs, barriers to learning, preferred learning styles and educational level of the patient. • Establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs that lead to optimal clinical nutrition and positive financial outcomes. • Comply with regulatory standards - both Federal and State, and accrediting agencies, adhering to confidentiality, Joint Commission regulations, HIPAA regulations, policies, and CMS regulations. • Collaborate with IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) to provide quality nutrition and culinary programs. • Supports quality assurance initiatives in the kitchen. • Proficient computer skills. • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally. • Identifies with and adheres to the code of ethics for the dietetics profession. • Required to provide weekend and holiday coverage on rotation to provide consistent nutrition care to patients. Qualifications Qualifications Required: bachelor's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, or related field. Preferred: master's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, or related field Must be a Registered Dietitian or meet eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian. Preferred 1-3 years of acute care or mental health and Registered Dietitian experience.
