For The Child Front Office Reception/Program Support – Full-Time (M-F) $18 - $20/hour, Based on Experience Job Description: For The Child is seeking a front office receptionist who wants to help make an impact for underserved children and families seeking access to mental health services. For the Child serves children and families from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. The successful candidate will share our agency’s values of equity and inclusion and will have a passion for working with historically underrepresented families and children who have experienced trauma. For The Child is an agency with a long history of providing child abuse prevention and treatment services. We offer a supportive environment. The Front Office Receptionist is a vital part of our team. You are the first person many of our clients will see. This position is in an outpatient counseling office serving children and families. Qualifications/Position Requirements: · Commitment to mission, vision and values (www.forthechild.org) · High school diploma or AA Preferred · Must be bilingual in English/Spanish · Minimum one year receptionist experience, preferably in a medical/mental health field working with Electronic Health Records (Exym Inc, preferred). · Excellent customer service skills & pleasant phone voice. · Able to handle high volume of calls and customer contacts in a polite and professional manner. · Excellent written and verbal communication · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 (cloud) and Data Entry · Compassion for families in crisis due to child abuse or children with emotional/behavioral problems · Must clear background check (DOJ, FBI, DMV) · Reliable Transportation (current driver’s license a must as well as own vehicle for daily trips to other location as well as post office) Responsibilities: · Scheduled Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm. · Performing office opening procedures · Unlock chart room, chart file cabinets and set up chart room for therapist use. · Greet clients and visitors, answer routine inquiries in person or by telephone, or take detailed messages. · Notify appropriate staff of client/visitor arrivals. · Assists with monitoring safety and comfort of customers in treatment program lobby. · Pickup and deliver interoffice mail, process outgoing mail. · Provide program support to staff by performing chart documentation review to include filing and scanning into Electronic Health Records · Performs data entry; input alpha-numeric information into computer system programs. · Operate standard office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, scanners, and desktop computer. · Provide support during clinical chart audits. · Assist with conference room set-up for agency and community meetings as needed · Other duties and special projects as assigned. Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and stoop, kneel and crouch. Often sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time inputting data. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision. While the work environment is often quiet, it can be quite noisy when there is a full lobby or other times of activity.
