Full-Cycle Sales Full-time, Remote, San Francisco About Fonzi AI We're a fast-growing startup revolutionizing tech hiring through our Match Day platform. We're building the first agentic hiring marketplace where top engineers join and receive interview requests directly from leading AI companies - complete with confirmed salary numbers upfront. Recently launched, we've already attracted thousands of engineers to our platform and are connecting them with the most innovative companies in tech. The Role We're seeking a relationship-driven sales professional to represent our recruiting platform in the San Francisco market. This is a full-cycle sales/business development role with account management responsibilities that combines industry expertise with hands-on execution. This role requires someone who can leverage existing networks, build scalable sales processes, and manage the complete client lifecycle from prospecting through renewals. What You'll Do • Drive new client acquisition through your network in the San Francisco tech recruiting ecosystem, building relationships with VCs, talent partners, and portfolio companies • Own the complete client lifecycle from prospecting through renewals - manage the full sales cycle, then handle ongoing account management, Match Day collaboration, and strategic relationship expansion • Represent Fonzi at 2+ SF events monthly - independently show up, set up, facilitate, and work the room at our hosted industry events • Build scalable sales processes from scratch while working closely and cross-functionally with Marketing, Recruiting, and Engineering teams to improve our product as we figure out what works in this early-stage environment Who You Are • We're looking for someone with one of these profiles: • Full-desk recruiter with extensive client relationships looking to transition to BD • Business development or sales professional from a recruiting agency or recruiting technology company • Talent partner from a VC firm with portfolio company connections • Former recruiting company owner/operator with proven sales and relationship management experience Required Experience • Strong existing network in the San Francisco tech recruiting ecosystem • Deep understanding of recruiting processes, pain points, and account management best practices • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships through the full lifecycle from prospecting to renewals • Comfortable working in an early-stage, ambiguous environment with minimal structure • Self-directed with ability to develop sales processes from scratch • Experience representing a company at industry events What Makes You Successful • You're a connector, not a cold-caller - Our most successful client acquisitions come from real relationships, not traditional sales tactics • You thrive without a playbook - We're still figuring out what works, so you need to be comfortable experimenting and iterating • You understand recruiting deeply - You can have credible conversations about recruiting challenges because you've lived them • You think beyond your rolodex - While your network gets you started, you're excited about building scalable systems for the future What Makes This Special • Ground floor opportunity - You'll be instrumental in defining how we approach sales, account management, and business development • Relationship-first culture - We prioritize authentic connections and long-term partnerships over transactional relationships • Solving real problems - Our Match Day platform addresses genuine pain points you've experienced in recruiting • Collaborative environment - You'll work closely with founders who are deeply involved and accessible • Focus on the right metrics - Take a data driven approach to ensuring you achieve your sales goals • Tech-enabled future - Be part of evolving from traditional recruiting toward an innovative, AI-powered model • Complete ownership - Own the entire client experience and help define what success looks like Location San Francisco - Remote + In-Person Events • Onboarding Week in NYC
