Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Bookkeeper located in Monsey, NY. The Bookkeeper will handle the daily bookkeeping tasks that keep our business running smoothly. Responsibilities include customer billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections follow-up, bank and credit card reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. We need someone organized, reliable, and detail-oriented who can take ownership of the bookkeeping function and keep everything up to date. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and send customer invoices and ensure all work is billed • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments • Process accounts payable and maintain vendor records • Perform weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations • Track expenses and ensure proper documentation • Assist with entering proposals, billing schedules, and job details • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records • Coordinate with the external accountant as needed • Provide basic financial reports from accounting software (such as AR aging or AP summaries) Qualifications: • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (QuickBooks or similar preferred) • Strong accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks • Experience with AR, AP, billing, and reconciliations • Good communication skills for customer and vendor follow-up • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Professional and discreet Degree not required; experience is most important
