Position Overview We are a manufacturing company seeking an entry-level Marketing & Customer Service Assistant to support both our customer service operations and our marketing efforts. This dual-role position is intentionally designed to help the employee develop deep product knowledge and customer understanding while contributing to marketing content creation. This role will serve as a customer service backup when needed and will also assist in creating digital and printed marketing materials, social media content, website blogs, and product-focused videos. Hours (Full Time): 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday No Saturdays No Sundays Customer Service Responsibilities Responsibilities include a range of sales and customer service tasks, including: • Order data entry • Assisting customers via phone, email, or in person • Reviewing order paperwork for accuracy • Shipping data entry, including creating shipping labels and labeling packages • Providing general sales and customer support as needed • Acting as a backup for customer service during short-staffed periods Marketing & Content Responsibilities Marketing-related tasks include, but are not limited to: • Creating, posting, and monitoring social media content (Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and similar platforms) • Writing and publishing website blog posts related to products, applications, and customer use cases • Researching products, competitors, and industry trends • Assisting with the creation of printed literature such as brochures, flyers, and product sheets • Planning, filming, and appearing in YouTube videos that demonstrate products and explain their uses • Assisting with basic video editing, graphic design, and publishing tasks • Collaborating with team members to maintain consistent brand messaging • Using approved AI tools to assist with content creation, research, editing, and workflow efficiency while maintaining accuracy, brand voice, and originality Note: Training will be provided on products and processes. Requirements & Experience Needed • 3.0 GPA or higher • Experience using a computer in a professional or academic setting • Comfortable with multitasking and switching between responsibilities • Ability to lift 30 lbs or more • Ability to stand for extended periods • Ability to perform basic math regularly • Comfortable working with customers in person, on the phone, and via email • Must live within a 20-minute drive of the workplace Preferred Education & Skills • Coursework, degree, or hands-on experience in: • Marketing • Communications • Graphic Design • Digital Media • Business or a related field • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) or similar tools • (Can include Canva, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, etc.) • Basic experience or strong interest in: • Social media content creation • Graphic design or layout • Video filming or editing • Comfort appearing on camera for product demonstrations and educational videos • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for writing, design, video editing, or research (e.g., ChatGPT, Adobe AI features, Canva AI, or similar) • Ability to use AI as a productivity tool while applying human judgment and creativity Pay & Benefits • Health insurance premium fully covered by employer for employee • Health insurance available after 30 days • Dental insurance after 30 days • Vision insurance after 30 days • 401(k) available after 1 year • Paid holidays after 1 year Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
