Senior Construction Project Manager job at Flowtec Group. Royal Oak, MI. Our client is a leading construction management and general contracting firm in Detroit, MI. They seek an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and institutional construction projects. This role will report to the Executive Leadership team and oversee multiple projects throughout the Detroit market, typically ranging from $15M - $40M in value. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all phases of assigned construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout. • Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution. • Lead contract negotiations, risk management, and procurement of materials and subcontractors. • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices. • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges to mitigate risks and delays. • Conduct regular site visits, progress meetings, and quality control checks. • Track financial performance, approve invoices, and maintain accurate cost reporting. • Foster and maintain strong client relationships while identifying potential business opportunities for future projects. • Mentor and guide project management staff, fostering professional growth within the team. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong background in large-scale commercial or institutional projects. • Proven track record of managing projects valued between $20M-$40M . • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera P6. • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Knowledge of Michigan construction codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
