Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in clinical research. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with audits are required.

We have an opening for an Accounting Analyst to join our growing accounting team! This is a Remote position. The Accounting Analyst analyzes and interprets financial data to inform management decisions, prepares financial reports, supports the month-end close, and ensures adherence to GAAP. This role partners cross-functionally to standardize processes, strengthen internal controls, and drive efficiency across the close and reporting cycle. The Accounting Analyst reports to the Director of Accounting. Schedule: Monday-Friday, Normal Business Hours Compensation: $75k - $85k base salary + 10% annual bonus Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance plans, 401(k) with 4% match, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, referral program, employee assistance program, life insurance, disability insurance, and 15 days of PTO + 10 company holidays. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare, assist, and review monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations (e.g., prepaids, accrued expenses, goodwill amortization, AR reconciliation, payroll accruals). Analyze variances and provide timely reporting and insights to management. Review and reconcile AP Specialist month-end entries for GAAP accuracy; identify required accruals for invoices at period end. Assist with bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of financial transactions. Support tracking of project budgets and expenditures; provide documentation for audits and tax compliance. Collaborate with project managers and clinical staff to gather and analyze financial data related to ongoing projects. Recommend improvements to financial management systems and accounting procedures to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and ensure GAAP compliance. Participate in financial statement and compliance audits; provide schedules and respond to requests. Provide actionable feedback on financial decisions that benefit the organization. Represent Flourish Research in a professional and courteous manner (verbal, written, and in appearance) when interacting with all staff, clients, and vendors. Additional duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in clinical research or a related healthcare setting. Comfortable owning full month-end close responsibilities; experience working in audits required. Proven agility in a fast-paced environment with tolerance for ambiguity; ability to manage reconciliations with large datasets and handle tasks beyond a typical scope. Knowledge & Skills: Strong accounting and reconciliation background; excellent organization and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication; ability to influence and collaborate across teams. Proficient in NetSuite and Office 365 preferred; strong Microsoft Excel required. Demonstrated process-improvement mindset; strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and impact analysis. Knowledge of clinical trial reporting is a plus (not required).
