About the Role We are looking for an experienced clinical leader to oversee crisis response and patient safety at Flourish. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring patient safety, managing crisis escalations, ensuring high-quality clinical documentation, and driving operational excellence across care delivery. You will lead initiatives to optimize crisis management workflows, train and support staff in high-risk situations, and inform the productization and standardization of our crisis response processes as Flourish continues to scale. This role requires a seasoned clinician with strong clinical judgment, crisis experience, and comfort operating in a fast-growing startup environment. You will serve as a trusted decision-maker during high-acuity moments while continuously improving clinical quality, consistency, and safety across the organization. Role Responsibilities Serve as a real-time clinical consult and escalation point for complex or high-risk situations, maintaining final clinical responsibility for crisis response during patient care hours. Monitor and oversee active crisis cases in collaboration with patient guides, therapists, and psychiatrists to ensure coordinated care, timely interventions, and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct post-crisis debriefs and root cause analyses to identify lessons learned, mitigate future risk, and update clinical guidance and workflows. Audit and continuously improve documentation practices related to safety plans, crisis notes, and incident reports to ensure clinical quality, compliance, and consistency. Oversee crisis escalation protocols and partner cross-functionally to inform the productization and scaling of crisis processes. Train, coach, and support staff on crisis response protocols, safety planning, de-escalation techniques, and crisis operations best practices. Provide backup clinical coverage as needed, including covering therapy sessions and/or maintaining a small patient panel (1–3 patients). Role Requirements Licensed Mental Health Professional (PhD, LCSW, LPC, or equivalent) eligible to provide patient care. Willingness to obtain licensure in all 50 states. 5+ years of relevant post-degree clinical experience. At least 2+ years leading crisis management for a high-acuity outpatient population. Strong clinical judgment and comfort making real-time decisions in high-risk situations. Comfort operating in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. Ability to work in the Central Time Zone (CT); location within the time zone is not required. Availability to work evenings on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
