Summary: The Program Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Managed Care is responsible for the overall planning, management, and completion of multiple medium to large projects, and may also support projects of high complexity, as part of a project team in collaboration with others. Responsible for program adherence with payers, supporting team members to ensure quality and timeliness of reporting while assisting management in accomplishing strategic and operational objectives; vetting, addressing and working with internal and external departments on resolving program related issues. Maintain and model value based managed care contracts for the purposes of monitoring contract performance. This Program Manager works with limited guidance and is responsible for leading programs and projects. PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs, coordinates, and supervises project-related activities of a diverse implementation team consisting of functional and technical staff. Possess the confidence and skills to meet with company leadership and stakeholders. Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to stakeholders through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specifications. Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business and clinical needs; work with business analyst to create business, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance with departmental protocol/standards. Identifies and develops working relationships with affected constituencies at all levels of the organization as well as external parties, as required. Ensures that constituent representatives are kept appropriately informed of project activities and are encouraged to participate as appropriate. Advises process teams representing constituent needs regarding cross-functional considerations, workflow integration and coordination, and optimization of best practices. Identifies, secures, and coordinates implementation of internal and external resources and expertise as appropriate to achieve project objectives. Directs status meetings and elevates issues and risks identified, and works with Project Sponsors, Management, and Executive Governance to resolve and mitigate issues and risks. Develop and execute project presentations. Participate in special projects & request for proposal (RFP) processes. Develop informative, coherent and usable documentation. Build data visualizations to convey project findings. Be a strong communicator in a virtual setting (via conference calls or web meetings). Strong organizational and project management skills. This position will be working on multiple projects concurrently. Any other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES: Bachelor’s degree, required EXPERIENCE: Three years healthcare experience with a demonstrated increase in responsibility and some experience managing projects &/or programs. Commiserate experience in other fields considered. Experience with interpreting data sets, noting trends, and drawing data-based conclusions then sharing the results with leadership. Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters. Communication Skills: Good command of the English language. Second language is an asset but not required. Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation- is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
