RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible to oversee the daily activities of the medical collections claims resolution teams. Liaison with practice and business office staff to resolve issues and outstanding problems in the area of AR management and Revenue Cycle processes. Review metrics to identify trends or areas of focus and work to develop, document, and implement action plans to address issues on outstanding AR. Provide guidance and training to assigned staff members and assure that policy and procedures are adhered to as outlined in the business office and employee manuals. Support the financial goals of the company by being fiscally responsible in all areas, including staffing, and purchasing. Develop and implement practice specific process improvement recommendations to secure positive results. Develop and reach consensus with practice leadership concerning identified problem areas and pursuing recommended solutions. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business health care administration, finance or related field preferred. A minimum of five years in healthcare, performance improvement or healthcare business operations preferred. Must have proven ability in the technical aspects of systems implementation, operation, and support; strong organizational and time management skills; knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software; high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Ability to make presentation to senior leadership, develop financial analyses and provide strategic direction. Strong management, organization, prioritizing, multi-tasking, leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential, as is knowledge of professional medical coding and how it will have financial implications. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy. Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work. Previous supervisory experience required.
