The Opportunity We’re hiring a Project Manager, DFR to support our Drone as First Responder (DFR) program. Following Flock’s recent acquisition of Aerodrome, a leader in public safety drone technology, we are entering a rapid growth phase and expect a robust pipeline of projects in 2025. This role exists to solve the challenge of scaling complex DFR deployments—integrating hardware, software, and services—while maintaining speed, quality, and consistency. You’ll serve as the cross-functional hub that connects engineering, deployment, vendors, and public safety customers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to Flock’s high standards. Ultimately, your work will help accelerate adoption of innovative drone technology that makes communities safer. The Skillset To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: Project Management Expertise: Experience leading complex, multi-phase projects (ideally in technology or hardware deployment). Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to align diverse teams (sales, engineering, deployment, vendors) to achieve results. Technical Acumen: Comfort with hardware/software deployments and ability to manage technical requirements. Risk & Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing, identifying risks, and balancing competing deadlines. Strong Communication: Clear written and verbal communication for reporting, stakeholder updates, and vendor coordination. Problem-Solving: Resourceful and adaptable when challenges arise. Data-Driven Mindset: Leverage data to evaluate outcomes and drive improvements. Process Orientation: Experience streamlining workflows for scale and efficiency. Build relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners. Learn project management tools and processes. Shadow customer calls and observe ongoing deployments. Begin preparing for FAA Part 107 certification. The First 60 Days Take ownership of a smaller component of a DFR deployment. Lead your first technical feasibility and project alignment session. Manage scope, schedule, and resources for defined project elements. Deepen understanding of deployment challenges, risks, and best practices. 90 Days & Beyond Fully own one or more active DFR projects end-to-end. Coordinate all phases of planning, execution, and installation. Deliver key project milestones, demonstrating independence and leadership. Be fully integrated into the team and positioned to scale DFR deployments at pace. Salary & Equity In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $120,000 - $140,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Flock does not offer bonuses.
