Part-time Grand Junction (Mesa County) Estate Planning Attorney Needed – $150.00 - $200.00/hour Requirements: · Colorado licensed attorney in good standing with no disciplinary history in any state (we will check). · Lead attorney position: must be a self-starter who can run all aspects of their cases. · Minimum of 3 years estate planning experience; strong knowledge of Colorado trusts and estates law. Must have excellent estate plan drafting skills. NOTE: We are NOT looking for "casual" estate planners. We are looking for estate planners who have continually drafted estate plans, with trusts, at a rate of at least several per month over at least three years. · Estate administration skills (probate) a strong plus for the candidate, as well as Medicaid and special needs planning experience. These are not required but strongly desired. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Must be very responsive and empathetic to clients. Must be able to respond to clients directly, quickly, and thoroughly when contacted. · Detail-oriented with very strong organizational skills. · Candidate located (resides) within reasonable travel distance of Grand Junction and able to meet with clients in Grand Junction (generally) if needed, especially for signings. If the candidate has an office in that area and is able to meet with clients there for signings, this will be considered a strong bonus if all other criteria are met. · Candidate should also be a notary or willing to become a notary soon after onboarding. · Candidate will likely have the opportunity to do estate plans for clients along the Front Range, but this position focuses on the Grand Junction area for planning and signings for clients who reside in Mesa County. Duties: · The successful candidate will possess the skills and desire to run all aspects of their cases and handle a wide variety of estate planning matters for a diverse population of clients. · No minimum billed-hours requirement. · Must be able to work remotely. · Knowledge of Clio legal software a plus. · Knowledge of Gavel software a plus. · Additional practice areas may be available for work: probate, real estate, family law, criminal law, general civil litigation, landlord/tenant, and others. The estate planning work is paid at flat fee rates and dependent on what documents are produced for the client. On average, this generates $150.00-$200.00/hr for the attorney. Expected hours: 10-20 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule, remote work other than executions for estate plans (but possible to do remote executions as well). Ability to relocate: · Grand Junction (Mesa County) (or reasonable distance to Grand Junction). Must be relocated prior to starting work (required). Work Location: In-person (remote unless required in-person duties, such as estate plan executions in the Grand Junction area).
