Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Server Database Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Systems team by designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions. Your expertise will help drive the efficiency and scalability of our data infrastructure, enabling the firm to meet its strategic growth objectives. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server databases to support corporate applications. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective database solutions. - You will ensure database performance, security, and reliability through proactive monitoring and tuning. - You will develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions to enhance application functionality. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will participate in database migration and upgrade projects to keep systems current. - You will document database designs, processes, and standards to maintain knowledge continuity. - You will mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices within the team. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration. - Strong proficiency in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning. - Experience with database design, normalization, and data modeling. - Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, and other SQL Server tools. - Solid understanding of database security and backup/recovery strategies. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL Database. - Knowledge of other database platforms like Oracle or MySQL. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. - Experience with automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
