Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Server Database Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Systems team by designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions. Your expertise will help drive the efficiency and scalability of our data infrastructure, enabling the firm to meet its strategic objectives. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server databases to support business applications. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective database solutions. - You will ensure database performance, security, and reliability through proactive monitoring and tuning. - You will develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality. - You will participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of database development processes and standards. - You will document database designs, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration. - Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization. - Experience with database design, normalization, and indexing strategies. - Familiarity with performance tuning and troubleshooting SQL Server environments. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS. - Knowledge of ETL processes and tools like SSIS. - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. - Experience working in an Agile development environment.
