Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Server Database Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Systems team by designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions. Your expertise will help drive the efficiency and scalability of our data infrastructure to support business growth. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server databases and queries. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - You will maintain and improve existing database systems to ensure high performance and reliability. - You will implement best practices for database security, backup, and recovery. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly. - You will participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - You will document database designs, processes, and standards clearly and comprehensively. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database development. - Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning. - Experience with database design, normalization, and indexing strategies. - Familiarity with ETL processes and tools. - Solid understanding of database security and disaster recovery techniques. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS. - Knowledge of other database technologies like NoSQL or Oracle. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools. - Experience working in the financial services industry.
