Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Server Database Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our Corporate Systems team. Your expertise will help drive the development, optimization, and maintenance of our SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance and reliability to support business operations. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server databases and related objects. - You will optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and efficient schema design. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity. - You will implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery procedures. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for database development. - You will document database designs, processes, and standards to support knowledge sharing. - You will mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the team. What You Bring: - You have 5+ years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration. - You possess strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. - You have experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques. - You are skilled in database design, normalization, and data modeling. - You have a solid understanding of database security, backup, and recovery strategies. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based database platforms such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS. - Familiarity with ETL tools and processes for data integration. - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. - Experience with version control systems like Git.
