Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Server Database Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Systems team by designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions. Your expertise will help drive the efficiency and scalability of our technology infrastructure to support the firm's growth. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server databases to support business applications. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - You will ensure database performance, security, and reliability through monitoring and tuning. - You will develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions to enhance database functionality. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for database development. - You will assist in the migration and integration of data across various systems. - You will document database designs, processes, and standards to ensure knowledge sharing. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration. - Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization. - Experience with database design, normalization, and performance tuning. - Familiarity with ETL processes and tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL Database. - Knowledge of other database platforms like Oracle or MySQL. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools. - Experience in the financial services industry.
