Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Server Database Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Systems team by designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions. Your expertise will help drive the efficiency and scalability of our data infrastructure, enabling the firm to meet its strategic objectives. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server databases to support business applications. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective database solutions. - You will ensure database performance, security, and reliability through proactive monitoring and tuning. - You will develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality. - You will participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of database development processes and standards. - You will document database designs, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration. - Strong proficiency in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning. - Experience with database design, normalization, and data modeling. - Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). - Solid understanding of database security best practices and disaster recovery planning. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS. - Knowledge of other database platforms like Oracle or MySQL. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. - Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar.
