What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server databases to support business applications. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions. - You will monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance system efficiency. - You will develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support application needs. - You will ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and industry standards. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will participate in database migration and upgrade projects to keep systems current. - You will document database designs, processes, and best practices for team knowledge sharing. What You Bring: - You have 5+ years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration. - You possess strong proficiency in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning. - You have experience with database design, normalization, and data modeling techniques. - You are skilled in troubleshooting complex database issues and implementing effective solutions. - You have a solid understanding of data security, backup, and recovery strategies. - You demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS. - Knowledge of ETL processes and tools like SSIS. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools for database deployment. - Experience working in the financial services industry or with corporate systems.
