Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Server Database Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Systems team by designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions. Your expertise will help drive the efficiency and scalability of our data infrastructure to support business growth. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server databases and queries. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - You will maintain and improve existing database systems to ensure high availability and performance. - You will implement best practices for database security, backup, and recovery. - You will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. - You will document database designs, processes, and standards. - You will mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database development. - Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning. - Experience with database design, normalization, and indexing strategies. - Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, and other Microsoft BI tools. - Solid understanding of database security and disaster recovery techniques. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL Database. - Knowledge of other database platforms like Oracle or MySQL. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. - Experience with automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
