Firvida Construction Corporation Position Title: Truck Driver Department: Field Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Site Superintendent/Foremen Position Summary The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a 5 ton dump truck and efficiently transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from Firvida Construction job sites. This role plays a key part in maintaining project schedules by ensuring timely deliveries, proper loading/unloading, and adherence to all safety and DOT regulations. Key Responsibilities • Operate mostly 5 ton dump truck to transport materials, machinery, and tools between warehouse, suppliers, and active job sites. • Safely load and unload materials using warehouse forklifts and small telehandlers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement. • Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection forms, and any required jobsite documentation. • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles; report defects or maintenance needs promptly. • Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures. • Coordinate deliveries with site supervisors to ensure materials arrive on schedule. • Assist field crews with material handling when needed. • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned vehicles. • Represent Firvida Construction professionally while interacting with suppliers, site personnel, and the public. Qualifications • CDL Class B Preferred • Bi-Lingual Preferred (English & Spanish) • Clean driving record. • Experience operating warehouse forklifts and small telehandlers required. • Minimum 1–3 years of commercial driving or construction-related hauling experience. • Knowledge of proper load securement and construction materials handling. • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor when necessary. • Strong communication and time-management skills. • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and travel between job sites. Working Conditions • Work primarily outdoors on active construction sites and within warehouse environments. • Overtime, early mornings, and occasional weekend work may be required. • Must comply with all company PPE and safety requirements.
