The Associate Product Manager (POS) will support product development, delivery, and adoption across various workflows to ensure a seamless application journey for lenders, borrowers, and loan officers. Key responsibilities include translating user needs into requirements, coordinating user acceptance testing, and maintaining the product backlog.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in SaaS product work, business analysis, or fintech, with strong analytical skills and an understanding of eligibility logic. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential for translating complex requirements into clear user stories.
Reports to: Product Manager, POS Department: Product Location: Remote FirstClose delivers a next-generation home equity lending experience through a unified Conversion Engine (Point of Sale + Lender Portal + Borrower Portal). As we scale our POS platform—including DLAI (Digital Loan Application Intake), Borrower Portal, Lender Portal, Eligibility Engine, Document Mapping, and Admin Console—you will support product development, delivery, and adoption across these workflows. The Associate Product Manager (POS) plays a key role in ensuring lenders, borrowers, and loan officers experience a seamless, compliant, high-conversion application journey. This role is ideal for someone who excels in requirements analysis, workflow mapping, UAT execution, and cross-team communication. Key Responsibilities Product Development * Translate borrower, loan officer, processor, and lender needs into clear requirements and user stories. * Support UX, PM, and BA teams with workflow modeling for: * DLAI (digital application flow) * Borrower Portal (conditions, tasks, disclosures) * Lender Portal (pipeline, pre-approval workflows) * Eligibility/CLTV logic * Admin Console configuration (rules, routing, personalization) * Assist with requirement grooming for POS: dynamic conditions, pre-approval, document mapping, program eligibility. * Maintain the POS backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned with rollout, customer commitments, and strategy. * Participate in design reviews and ensure technical feasibility and clarity for engineering. Product Delivery * Coordinate and run User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for POS features across internal Ops, Implementation, and lenders. * Document release notes and user guides for PMO, Ops, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success. * Support validation of POS integrations, document mapping, and lender-specific configurations. * Assist with Product Delivery Rollouts * Track dependencies, communicate rollout risks early, and ensure alignment across Product Ops, Engineering, and Customer Success. Product Support (Sustain & Maintain) * Triage and reproduce issues related to borrower workflows, lender workflows, eligibility logic, or admin-rule misconfigurations. * Document defects with clarity for engineering and track through resolution. * Serve as a POS subject matter resource for Support, Ops, and Implementation teams. * Analyze ticket trends and work with the Product Manager to identify usability or workflow improvements. Required Experience & Skills * 1–3 years in SaaS product work, business analysis, product ownership, fintech, lending, or workflow-heavy software. * Strong analytical skills with ability to map borrower, loan officer, and processor workflows end-to-end. * Understanding of eligibility/CLTV logic, rule engines, or workflow automation tools. * Basic familiarity with APIs, structured data, and configuration-driven platforms. * Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to translate complexity into clarity. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with digital loan applications, borrower portals, LOS integrations, or lending workflows. * Proficiency with Jira for backlog grooming and cross-team workflow management. * Exposure to Agile software development practices. * Experience working with Sales Engineering or Customer Success on enablement and adoption. * Familiarity with HELOC, HEL, or consumer lending processes.
