We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Automation & Internal Controls for our First Quality Enterprises, LLC located in Great Neck, NY. As a member of the Enterprise Central Finance team, this role primarily supports enterprise-wide analytics and process automation by designing, developing, and maintaining solutions to improve business processes and improve financial analysis. This Enterprise role also has responsibilities for leading Finance Center of Excellence meetings and projects, acts as back-up for other Central Finance activities as well as participates in business process internal audit reviews across the organization, as needed. Primary responsibilities include: This role spends about 70% of the time on analytics and automation, 20% on internal audit reviews and 10% on financial closing and reporting activities. • Develops understanding of diverse business processes selected for analytics or automation, evaluates feasibility and fit, maps solution and creates relevant documents, such as, the process definition document, process flowcharts, etc. • Works with process owners to complete project request requirement and assists with return on investment estimates. • Develops solutions using diverse software tools, such as Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, MS Forms, among other. • Ensures that automated workflows are set up, tested, and monitored, and that the design and technology solution meet governance standards. • Tests and supports the launch and implementation of solutions and participates in the solution deployment process. • Runs tools, as needed, and resolves running issues. • Identifies, tracks and reports performance metrics. • Follows governance processes and drives the adoption of best practices around coding, design, quality, and performance. As internal audits’ support: • To enhance their company’s business process awareness, participates in end-to-end and/or targeted process and control reviews. • Under the Senior Director, Strategic Finance’s direction, the Senior Financial Analyst conducts process walkthroughs, documents process narratives and flow charts and evaluates control and process design. • Creates and/or executes control testing procedures and documents work performed in accordance with the Department' standards. As financial closing and reporting support: • Shadows Central Finance Manager to become knowledgeable on: • Group’s internal and external financial analyses, including elimination and consolidation of financial statements, preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting, preparation of external compliance statements (bank), regulatory and compliance reports (US census, tax planning, etc.). • Identifies and develops analytics and automation opportunities for Central Finance processes. • Performs financial closing and reporting activities, as back-up for Central Finance Manager, as needed. The ideal candidate should possess the following: • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar • CPA is a plus • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience. • Experience in internal audit, internal controls, process improvement and/or alike, involving strong end-to-end process understanding and evaluation. • Business analysis and project management experience • Experience working independently and leading complex projects • Strong prioritization and project management skills, including timely, and proactive communication of timelines, and status • Continuous process improvement mindset • Intellectual curiosity to help get to the best solutions • Financial Analysis /Financial Forecasting • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP • Knowledge of US GAAP basic principles and elements of internal controls • Understanding of manufacturing accounting environment • Experience working with gathering requirements and implementing solutions in a systematic way • Experience with Power Automate and other RPA tools. • Analytics driven to measure the impact of RPA solution on processes and teams • Technical understanding of APIs, HTML, and system integrations. Integration experience and knowledge in how systems efficiently communicate Estimated annual base salary range for this position is $85,000- $100,000 Base pay is only part of our total compensation package, which also includes an attractive annual discretionary bonus and robust suite of employee benefits for which you are eligible to participate in starting on your first day of employment. Base pay offered will be determined on an individualized basis and we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
