The Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) role is designed to provide expert analytical and program management support to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 408 - Naval Expeditionary Missions (EXM) Program Office. This position plays a crucial role in advancing the use of model-based systems engineering methodologies to improve program outcomes and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. What You'll Do: - You will provide ongoing MBSE analysis support to NAVSEA PMS 408, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of engineering insights. - You will assist in program management activities, coordinating tasks and resources to meet project milestones. - You will develop and maintain system models that support design, integration, and verification processes. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MBSE practices into existing workflows. - You will prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and recommendations. - You will support administrative functions related to program execution and compliance. - You will identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices. - You will participate in stakeholder meetings to provide technical expertise and status updates. What You Bring: - A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years focused on model-based systems engineering. - Proficiency with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, or equivalent. - Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes. - Experience supporting defense or government programs, preferably within naval or expeditionary mission contexts. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a hybrid work environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with SysML and UML modeling languages. - Familiarity with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) processes and standards. - Program management certification such as PMP or equivalent. - Security clearance or eligibility for clearance.
