We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager to oversee and manage all billing and revenue cycle operations for our urgent care centers. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely claim submission, maximizing reimbursement, maintaining compliance, and leading billing staff to support the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of urgent care or outpatient medical billing, excellent leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to revenue cycle management. Key Responsibilities • Oversee all aspects of urgent care billing, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, denials, and appeals • Manage and support billing staff, including training, performance monitoring, and workflow optimization • Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, CPT/ICD-10 coding standards, and regulatory requirements • Monitor accounts receivable, aging reports, and key performance indicators • Identify trends in denials and underpayments and implement corrective action plans • Work closely with clinic leadership, providers, and operations to resolve billing issues • Maintain payer relationships and address escalated billing concerns • Ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and collections • Stay current on billing regulations, payer changes, and urgent care best practices Qualifications • Minimum of 3–5 years of medical billing experience, preferably in urgent care or outpatient settings • Prior billing management or supervisory experience required • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, insurance guidelines, and revenue cycle workflows • Experience with EHR/PM systems (urgent care systems preferred) • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and leadership abilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Preferred Qualifications • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) • Experience with multi-site urgent care billing • Knowledge of self-pay and occupational medicine billing Benefits • Competitive salary based on experience • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Paid time off and holidays
