FITS Consulting is seeking a Business Analyst with Mutual Funds operations and processing expertise. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvements, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mutual funds operations, sub-accounting processes, and a keen ability to translate business needs into effective workflows. Key Responsibilities • Pair with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements specific to mutual fund operations. • Partner with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies on compliance, audit and financials, while ensuring all accounting functions follow SEC and FINRA regulations. • Analyze and document business processes and workflows related to mutual funds and sub-accounting/omnibus protocols. • Perform gap analysis to determine current/future state and process flows. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. • Ensure the testing and training process are running smoothly. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in back office operations specifically in mutual fund operations. • 4+ years of brokerage/wealth management industry Business Analyst experience • Deep understanding of mutual fund operations, including networking service levels, shareholder servicing, reconciling and distribution processing. • Experience with sub-accounting platforms and systems (e.g., BetaNXT, Surpass, SS&C DST Vision, etc.). • Successful track record for completing projects tasks under tight deadlines. • Proficiency with business analysis techniques and tools for Agile based projects. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
