Senior Software Engineer needed to drive software development with a global team building on a range of services to streamline payment processes and enhance efficiency. As the team grows, you’ll play a key role in shaping both the technical foundation and the company culture. You’ll use your expertise in TypeScript, Node, React and GCP to build and scale robust backend and frontend systems contributing directly to the company’s next phase of growth. Role & Responsibilities: • Design and deliver complete product features from concept to deployment • Interface directly with customers to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions • Architect, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems with a focus on performance and reliability • Build custom merchant processing solutions, including payment gateway integrations, compliance, analytics, and reporting tools • Leverage modern technologies; JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, and React to build robust, high-quality software • Lead and mentor a talented engineering team, ensuring strong collaboration, code quality, and adherence to best practices • Solve complex technical challenges with a results-driven mindset, delivering innovative and effective solutions • Design, develop, and deploy clean, minimal, and maintainable server APIs and services, following industry best practices • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and build systems that support company-wide objectives Skills / Experience Needed: • 5+ years of TypeScript experience • Node backend development experience • React front end development experience • Strong experience with GCP or AWS services and infrastructure. • Prior experience working with early-stage and high-growth startups (Seed to Series A or B) • Strong understanding of software architecture and expertise in managing complex systems. • Startup mentality - can solve big problems with a small team • Must have prior hands-on team and/or project leadership experience • You love clear, concise, & readable code.
