Job Description: The Role The Head of FMAX Distribution leads the integrated sales strategy and execution for Fidelity’s FMAX platform across Relationship Management and Advisor Sales teams. This role drives advisor adoption, client growth, and platform expansion through strategic planning, performance oversight, and cross-functional alignment. As a senior leader, they ensure operational excellence, foster talent development, and represent FMAX in key client and industry engagements. Strategic Leadership & Sales Execution • Develop and own the integrated sales strategy for FMAX across RM and Advisor Sales teams, including segmentation, territory planning, and vertical-specific approaches. • Align distribution efforts with broader Fidelity initiatives, ensuring consistency and scalability across IWMS and FI channels. • Drive advisor engagement and platform adoption through coordinated field and desk sales efforts, strategic Client & Partner Engagement • Represent FMAX at advisor conferences and industry events, articulating Fidelity’s managed solutions strategy and value proposition. • Manage strategic relationships, including Envestnet, to ensure platform alignment and joint execution. • Serve as the voice of the client, channeling feedback into product enhancements and roadmap decisions in partnership with Product Leaders. Performance Management & Talent Development • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing RM and Advisor Sales teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Implement and oversee performance scorecards, flash reporting, and business reviews to monitor team effectiveness and drive accountability. • Promote Fidelity’s managed solutions through internal referrals, lead conversion strategies, and advisor activation initiatives.. Business Management Leadership • Ensure operational excellence in lead conversion, deployment processes, and client transitions—especially for MAS and ENV Direct. • Manage client-level P&L, pricing strategy, and profitability analysis to inform growth decisions and optimize economic outcomes. • Balance leadership focus with business operations, including cross-functional coordination and strategic planning The Expertise and Skills You Bring • Bachelor's degree required. MBA, CFA or equivalent graduate degree a plus. • Series 7 & 63 licenses required (pass within 90 days) • 15+ years of financial services experience • Willingness to travel 60% Nationally • Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $175,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
