The Opportunity "As a Senior Director of Corp Communications at FICO, you’ll serve as the primary lead for the Software business. In this position, you’ll help shape and drive the company’s narrative around decision intelligence and elevate FICO as an analytic software leader. You’ll spearhead and develop integrated corporate communications programs focusing on corporate reputation, thought leadership and technology innovation. We’re looking for someone who can collaborate closely with senior executives and key stakeholders to align strategic priorities and drive cross-functional initiatives that support FICO Software’s business objectives." - VP, Corporate Communications. What You'll Contribute • Develop and execute integrated comms strategies for our software business and support the evolution of our platform story. • Integrated storytelling: align product, brand, and market messages into one cohesive voice. • Develop campaign strategies and messaging that unify the Software business and reinforce its overarching vision. • Support and/or draft press releases, Q&As, talking points, and develop media strategies to increase public awareness and understanding of FICO Software. • Engage with media and collaborate on urgent media requests, staff interviews, and push/pitch FICO news. • Drive content strategy and assist with drafting blog posts, executive bylines, and other thought leadership content. • Provide strategic leadership and alignment across internal and external partners (i.e., agency) to set unified goals and ensure seamless execution of programs. • Liaison and collaborate with the FICO Software executive and leadership team. • Prepare spokespeople and executives for external media engagements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regions, including product, analytics, legal, and marketing, to gather information and help shape accurate media messaging. • Develop quarterly KPIs and assist in managing expectations and progress across executives, key stakeholders, and external partners. • Mentor and manage entry-level employees and/or staff. What We're Seeking • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. • 9+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications—preferably in B2B tech. • Industry experience preferred: data, analytics, AI, fraud, CRM, financial services. • Agency or in-house experience with a focus on international collaboration. • Has managed and/or mentored 1-3 colleagues for more than one year. • Understands and demonstrates the importance of engaging in difficult conversations and deliver constructive feedback with clarity, empathy, and professionalism. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and tailor messaging for different media and stakeholder audiences. • Clearly understands the media landscape and has a working knowledge of how to engage reporters across financial, technology and business outlets. • Strong foundation for storytelling specific to reaching a technical audience including CAO, CIO, CRO and CTO audiences. • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a willingness to grow and take ownership of projects. • Highly adaptable and collaborative—approaches work with humility, a hands-on mindset, and a readiness to support the broader communications team across varied responsibilities, workstreams and regions. • Demonstrates strong executive presence with the confidence to engage senior leaders, articulate strategic communications approaches, and influence key decisions through stakeholder education. • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth settings, balancing multiple priorities with agility and consistently delivering results amid shifting demands.
