FiberClass Contracting is seeking a motivated Operations Associate to join its dynamic team and play a key role in supporting both the Sales Director and Controller in day-to-day operations, estimating, and project management. This role bridges sales and field operations, making it ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the ins and outs of construction management and business operations. You’ll assist in preparing bids, coordinating job startup documentation, managing project data, and helping to ensure jobs run efficiently from proposal to completion. Key Responsibilities · Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to understand the full project scope and prepare accurate bids, proposals, and submittals. · Support project execution from startup through completion, including documentation, reporting, and material procurement. · Prepare, analyze, and maintain job cost and unit cost reports to track budgets, productivity, and overall profitability. · Coordinate daily schedules, material orders, work orders, and communication between office and field teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. · Manage multiple projects at once while maintaining strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail. · Assist leadership with estimating support, ordering materials, and business development initiatives. · Operate and maintain standard office equipment while scanning, laminating, copying, and organizing project documents. Qualifications · Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). · 1–2 years of experience in construction estimating, management, or operations (preferred). · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Google Docs/Sheets, and QuickBooks. · Familiarity with PlanSwift/ Onscreen or other take-off software (a plus; training available). · Ability to read blueprints and understand estimating principles. · Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. · Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure.
