Job Title: Assistant Property Manager- *Commercial Real Estate industry required* Location: Charlotte, NC (28217) Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: General Manager Position Summary We’re looking for a proactive and service-oriented Assistant Property Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations, tenant relations, and financial performance of commercial real estate properties. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining building standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering an exceptional experience to tenants. Key Responsibilities Tenant Relations • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with tenants. • Lead a proactive tenant engagement program to enhance satisfaction and retention. • Handle all tenant interactions with professionalism and care. Property Operations & Vendor Management • Manage daily building operations, including vendor contracts for: • Engineering • Janitorial and cleaning services • Security and life safety systems • Parking, landscaping, and renovation services • Ensure building operations meet company standards and tenant needs. Financial Management • Manage accounts payable/receivable and monitor rent collections. • Conduct regular cost analysis to identify savings opportunities. • Assist in developing and managing annual operating budgets. Lease Administration • Support lease onboarding and administration in Yardi, including rent roll maintenance. • Ensure lease compliance and support renewals and amendments. Construction & Project Support • Collaborate with Construction and General Managers on tenant build-outs and capital improvements. • Follow standardized project execution protocols and maintain documentation. Regulatory Compliance & Emergency Preparedness • Ensure all operations align with ADA, IAQ, fire codes, and other safety regulations. • Lead emergency preparedness initiatives: • Develop emergency plans • Monitor safety systems • Manage emergency response and communication • Serve as Fire/Life Safety Director when needed Additional Duties Marketing & Leasing Support • Assist with marketing strategies and leasing calls. • Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants. • Contribute to tenant experience and amenity planning. Collaboration & Company Representation • Partner with internal departments and serve as a liaison to industry/community groups. • Take on special projects and support initiatives as assigned by senior leadership. Qualifications Experience: • Minimum of 2 years in commercial property management or related field. Education: • Bachelor’s degree required.
