Job Title: Senior Manager - Workplace Strategy, Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Location: This is approved to be Remote or will be hybrid if you are located near the Newport News HQ. Role Overview The Senior Manager – RE&F Workplace Strategy partners, collaborates and aligns closely with Ferguson Home Showroom Leadership to understand and interpret their showroom strategy to bring their vision to life in the built environment. The following responsibilities are preceded with the expectation of close collaboration and partnership with the Ferguson Home Showroom Leadership team! The Showroom Workplace Strategy Leader architects and brings to life the long-term workplace strategy and spatial vision for the Real Estate and Facilities team. This role is the primary driver of the showroom evolution roadmap, ensuring the physical showroom environments serve as a powerful engine for Ferguson Home business growth. This leader works in close partnership with Ferguson Home leadership, Category Management, Finance, Operations, and other key partners to strategically align decisions, priorities, and standards that define the brand’s physical showroom footprint. By integrating design innovation with operational rigor, this role supports business goals by setting strategy, defining design direction, driving consistent practices, and ensuring each showroom supports customer expectations and delivers measurable brand value at scale. Primary Responsibilities Bring the Customer Group’s vision to life to set the workplace strategy for showroom refresh, remodel, and renovation work. Define design standards for layouts, planograms, kits of parts, and space types. Align decisions and plans with Category Management, finance, operations, and other partners. Define and expand the organizational structure and talent approach needed to support a national portfolio. This includes leading planning for resources, staffing models, and vendor partnerships. Guide governance for project approvals and major landmarks. Synthesize market and customer insights to continuously maintain and evolve design guidelines used across the national portfolio, positioning Ferguson Home as the preferred luxury showroom brand. Direct training programs for showroom teams and installation partners. In partnership with the Finance and Showroom Experience team, establish the ROI framework for physical environments, linking spatial design directly to P&L performance and long-term brand equity to track performance measures such as sales impact, NPS, and brand consistency. Lead field adoption of new approaches and operating practices. Remove friction between strategy and execution through continuous process improvements. Guide vendor selection and performance for design and construction work. Support the management of a multi-million-dollar capital budget, ensuring strategic allocation of funds, the desired quality of the showroom deliverable, budget rigor, and schedule targets across projects to improve portfolio impact. Responsible for the professional and talent development, creative and delivery-focused excellence of a potential future design team. In partnership with the Showroom Experience team, anticipate shifts in the retail landscape and industry direction to proactively shift the physical strategy to maintain a competitive advantage. Give clear direction and coaching to cross-functional and field teams. Set KPI targets and use dashboards to support accountability. Stay informed on retail and showroom trends and apply insights to strategy. Build playbooks and training that support consistent execution across the network. Preferred Experience and Qualifications 10+ years of commercial or corporate strategy and/or delivery industry experience with a proven track record of leading leaders. Strong Executive presence with the ability to influence and collaborate at the C-Suite or Executive level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with collaborators at all levels. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement process improvements. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Ability to implement change management and lead through change. Deep understanding of customer expectations and the ability to drive customer-focused initiatives. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in design, business administration, management, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in interior design, sustainability and architecture Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. - $9,875.00 - $15,800.00 - Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. - This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. - Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
