This role is part of Supply Chain Solutions & Infrastructure (SCS&I)—the team that powers Ferguson’s supply chain through innovative technology. We design, build, and support the applications that keep our operations running smoothly, from order management and fulfillment to inventory and warehouse automation using conveyors and robotics. As a Full Stack SQL Developer, you’ll play a critical role in creating critically important enterprise solutions that transform data into actionable insights. Working closely with multi-functional teams, you’ll turn business needs into technical solutions that drive efficiency and success across our supply chain. In this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in data science, business analysis, and software development. You should have a consistent track record of designing and coding functional programs and applications. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you also have a business insight, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to handle large scale projects end-to-end, we’d like to meet you. Location: This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States. Responsibilities: SQL/T-SQL script design and development Gather user requirements and translate business needs to technical specifications Design, build and deploy solutions as they relate to SQL development projects Write high quality source code to meet requirements within deadlines Define, develop, optimize, manipulate, and execute complex SQL database queries Conduct analysis from diverse data sets Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports for requested projects Develop and update user documentation Act as subject matter expert in all areas of SQL report development and data integration Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed processes, reports, and dashboards for both external and internal users Create, modify, read and understand stored procedures Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes Qualifications: Demonstrable experience as a database developer Experienced knowledge in at least one programming language. Experience in designing and building query solutions using SQL/T-SQL Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills Solid grasp of software design and programming principles Good understanding of database concepts Creative, flexible, and quick to learn Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative Proven track record of success including understanding project requirements and delivering on them Analytical mind with a problem-solving proficiency Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field Knowledge of Data Modeling preferred Adept at SQL programming using Oracle, Microsoft SQL-Server T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS 2012+ Solid understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure, and Azure SaaS (software as a service). In depth knowledge of the following technical tools: SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Integrated Services, and Visual Studio. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. - $6,805.95 - $11,921.25 - Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. - This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. - Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
