Manage and lead the Customer Service department, oversee customer orders and deliveries, coordinate with production and logistics teams, and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
Five years of customer service or production control management experience in automotive industry, knowledge of ERP systems, computer literacy, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Summary of Function: Responsible for the management of the Customer Service department including leading and directing the functions of customer service and customer deliveries. Indirect input to the Manager of Scheduling, Materials and S&R towards production scheduling, material requirements planning, inventory management, supplier management, and shipping department as related to fulfilling customer requirements. Major Duties and Responsibilities: · Directly manage the Customer Service Representatives. Provide leadership mentoring and support to the team. · Provide primary customer contact for ordering and delivery utilizing support from the CSR staff. · Review of customer orders, delivery requirements, and shipments utilizing support from the CSR staff. · Develop plan and recovery plans to schedule changes, order changes, capacity adjustments and work with customers to arrive at equitable solutions utilizing support from the CSR staff. · Investigate and correct issues with EDI releases loading. · Coordinate accum resets to match customers utilizing support from the CSR staff. · Minimize any expedited freight and develop actions to prevent or eliminate. · Investigation and approval/refute of Customer Debits that are related to shipping and freight items. · Periodically review workcenter capacity based on releases, sales forecast, and/or VP/GM requests. · Periodically review and update standard production rates for all part numbers and processing steps in ERP system. · Determine, track, and report daily, weekly, and monthly metrics. · Review of scrap scales entries versus reports from scrap hauling company to reconcile. · Attend Program Management bi-weekly meeting for new jobs or engineering changes. · Attend launch meetings for new awarded products. · Assign new jobs to a specific CSR as the production time approaches. · Maintain listing of all parts and customers to evenly distribute customer/part level between CSR staff. · Enter in and maintain all part numbers and material items in ERP system. · Enter in and maintain process routers of all products in ERP system. · Contact for and help on requests for inter-company part and steel transfers and utilize support from the Manager of Scheduling, Materials, and S&R. · Help with determining customer returnable or provided packaging as needed. · Help ensure Customer blanket PO entry and other special or spot buy PO’s with Sales are completed to allow shipping product. · Review and investigate shipping related customer corrective action requests or scorecards concerns. If needed, provide to Manager of Scheduling, Materials, and S&R for further review. · Review, update, and enter/upload various customer logistics evaluations, surveys, or other audits via e-mail or on customer websites. · Present monthly (or as scheduled) the Logistics and ERP portions of the New Hire Orientation. · Advise upper management on relevant issues. · Any other duties or responsibilities as may be directed by the Vice President/General Manager. · Compliant with ISO requirements per the training provided Educational Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred Experience Requirements: • Five years of previous experience in Customer Service and/or Production Control management in an automotive industry. • Knowledge of ERP Systems • Must be computer literate and have Microsoft Office experience. • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data. HIRING PREREQUISITES · One-year certificate from technical school; or two years related experience; or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Tool & Die field. · Language skills to include the ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals. · Reasoning skills to include the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. · Mathematical skills to include the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. · Ability to successfully complete assigned jobs/ tasks in a timely manner and/or by a required completion date, and evaluated in respect to knowledge, initiative, dedication, attitude, quantity, quality, versatility, cooperation, dependability, leadership, safety, tardiness, housekeeping, organization, and attendance. Once hired, will go through the online PMA program. Will get a $1.00 raise every 6 months during apprenticeship.
