Overview FWI is building a team to provide clerical, administrative, and professional services as well as data management, document preparation, records management support services, and electronic records management to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). As a Records and Information Manager, you will provide oversight and technical accuracy for all records and information management components of the contract, offering leadership and direction for contractor staff on the enterprise-wide inventory and file plan project. FWI has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2024 and 2025, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment. **Position is contingent upon contract award** Work Schedule and Location:On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, within 6am to 7pm at the GAO Headquarters in Washington, DC. Some hybrid work may be allowed. Responsibilities Provide oversight and technical accuracy for all records and information management components of the contract work Offer leadership and direction for contractor staff members on the enterprise-wide inventory and file plan project Manage large collections of both analog and electronic records throughout their lifecycle Maintain proper controls for records storage and access Apply records schedules to the appraisal and classification of records Identify records, non-records, and personal papers Organize and describe information collections using appropriate metadata Protect classified and sensitive information and systems from unauthorized access Provide training and developmental resources to users on records management topics Ensure that all recordkeeping practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards Qualifications Required: Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in managing professional records and information management program and project work Minimum of a master's degree in an information discipline (e.g., Library and Information Science, Information Management, Archival Studies) Expert knowledge of professional best practices in the field of records and information management Top Secret (TS) security clearance Desired: Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation Demonstrated experience related to the management of federal government records FWI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
