Job Announcement Food Service Worker II Job Description Under supervision of the Child Nutrition Technician, to assist in the preparation of school lunches; to serve lunches; to conduct a satellite school serving operation; to perform routine cleaning tasks in a school cafeteria; and to do related work as require Minimum Qualifications: Experience: One year of paid experience in preparing large quantities of foods. Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license Other: Serve Safe certification preferred Physical abilities include the usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions and require the following physical demands: stand for an extended period of time, operate kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment requiring repetitive hand movement, inspect documents and other written materials, sufficiently move about the kitchen, cafeteria, and school site; move, lift, push and/or carry large or small objects weighing up to 31 pounds in the school cafeteria, food storage area, or freezer; some climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching; reaching, handling, touching, and/or feeling; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and enter data into a computer. Upon Conditional Offer of Employment: • Department of Justice Criminal Background Check • TB Test within the past 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667) • Complete district Mandated Reporter training, Sexual Harassment, etc • Must obtain and maintain a First Aid/ CPR Certificate (In-Person Training ONLY) • Pre-Employment Physical Evaluation conducted through the District (Minimum 31 pounds).
