Buyer (Temporary 30-90 days estimated) Purpose: The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, products, or services for a company while ensuring the best possible price, quality, and delivery terms. They evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with vendors to ensure a consistent supply chain and cost-effective procurement strategy. Duties/Responsibilities: • Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials. • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. • Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers. • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions. • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory planners or department managers. • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions. • Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and reliability. • Track orders and ensure timely delivery. • Resolve supply, quality, service, or invoice issues with suppliers. • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role. • Strong negotiation and communication skills. • Analytical and decision-making abilities. • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
