Role Overview We are seeking a motivated, analytical Desk Analyst to join our growing team in Raleigh. This is a hands-on role supporting our EVOLVE Fixed Income Solutions platform and the firm’s Fixed Income Strategists across trading, data management, and portfolio analytics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strong with Excel, and eager to learn the mechanics of the markets from the inside out. This position offers a defined growth path toward an Assistant Portfolio Strategist role for high-performing team members. Key Responsibilities · Support Fixed Income Strategists with daily reconciliations of accounts, trades, and positions · Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Bloomberg, InvestorTools, and internal systems · Assist in preparing portfolio proposals, analytics, and client materials · Update marketing and pitch decks with relevant market and economic data, visualizations, and commentary · Coordinate team workflow during the trading day, ensuring smooth communication and execution · Interface with custodians, vendors, and technology partners to maintain operational efficiency · Contribute to research projects, process improvements, and market insights that enhance the team’s output Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline · Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables required; VBA or Power Query a plus) · Series 7 license preferred; otherwise, must be obtained within 90 days of employment (firm sponsorship provided) · Strong attention to detail and a naturally analytical, inquisitive mindset · Demonstrated initiative and intellectual curiosity about financial markets · Excellent organizational and communication skills · Prior internship or 1–3 years of experience in financial markets, operations, or data analysis is helpful but not required Why Falcon Square Capital · Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where curiosity and precision are valued · Exposure to portfolio management, market structure, and trading workflows · Mentorship and a clear career progression path for high-performing team members · Opportunity to work within EVOLVE, one of the industry’s most forward-thinking advisor platforms · Compensation: $50,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus potential and benefits How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief note to hleal@falconsquarecapital.com that includes the following: • What draws you to fixed income markets and how this role aligns with your career goals. • A market trend or data point that has caught your attention recently — and why you find it interesting.
