Receive and organize food deliveries, maintain inventory, support kitchen operations including dishwashing and cleaning, and perform minor maintenance.
Customer service attitude, knowledge of food sanitation, basic math and computer skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Job purpose Receive, store and organize food products. Inventory and be accountable for products related to food service. Receive all delivery trucks and perform some heavy lifting. Support the cafeteria by operating the dishwasher and perform minor maintenance and cleaning tasks. Duties and responsibilities • Meet truck delivery drivers and unload food items. • Count and advise the manager on reordering food items and supplies. • Count on-hand quantities of all food products and report them to manager. • Help other team members when heavy lifting is required. • Wash dishes, pots and pans. • Clean and sanitize assigned areas. • Perform routine maintenance on kitchen equipment. Qualifications • Show a customer service attitude. • Know food sanitation standards. • Read food production reports in Excel and Word. • Demonstrate math skills related to inventory procedures to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. • Demonstrate skills related to storage, receiving and inventorying products and supplies. • Create and use simple Excel spreadsheets and Word documents. • High School diploma or equivalent. Working conditions Work in a kitchen environment with hot temperatures. Constantly wash your hands and wear proper hair restraint. The work is fast-paced with multiple deadlines throughout the day. Physical requirements The job requires constant standing and some lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
