Address: Texas The Risk Specialist works to minimize many forms of risks to the company’s financial standings. This role will be responsible for identifying present risks, whether or not they can be prevented and how to lower the chances of their occurrence. This role also entails conducting various assessments including full physical inventories and regulatory compliance assessments as required by regulatory compliance. Key Areas of Responsibility Provides financial insight into business decisions Provides quality and timely inventory and compliance reports Ensures the best decisions are made to minimize potential risks in business operations Critical and Essential Tasks Reviews financial data and information concerning business operations Identifies potential risks and recommends how to address the issues identified Identifies and analyzes areas of potential risk to the assets, earning capacity, or success of organizations Prepares reports and presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, or recommend change Conducts statistical and in-person analyses to identify and categorize risk and potential risk Assists in developing risk mitigation strategies and implementing them Presents risk analyses to consumers, decision-makers or management, making recommendations for action Creates reports to provide to upper management Remains informed on the latest developments in the company and overall field in order to update risk reports on a regular basis Prepares company risk policies and procedures and safety/operational codes Plans and contributes to the development of risk management systems Requirements Experience 1-3 years of experience Education Bachelor’s degree required, Competencies Technical & Professional Skills Job-Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Comfortable working around firearms Bilingual/bicultural technical and conversational skills (Spanish/English) Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy; and time management and organizational skills Highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Mathematical skills in order to perform calculations and identify potential problems with data Service Orientation This is a major area of importance.
