Extension is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Milwaukee! About Our Client • Collaborative culture where ideas are shared freely • Strong mentorship and support from leadership • Dynamic, active business culture that is always innovating Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities • Design, develop, and debug PLC, HMI, and VFD programs using Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View • Create and validate control logic, alarms, safety interlocks, and sequence of operations for complex industrial systems • Design and implement control network topologies • Read, develop, and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, AutoCAD Electrical • Coordinate closely with panel fabricators and vendors to ensure accurate builds • Collaborate with Applications Engineering during project kickoff to confirm design intent and review technical risks or non-standard scope items • Interface directly with Field Service Engineers and customers during FAT, commissioning, SAT, or service calls; provide technical support, clarify design intent, and resolve integration challenges Desired Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering • 10+ years relevant experience • Demonstrated mastery of Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000 environments for PLC/HMI/VFD programming • Proficiency with developing and commissioning industrial Ethernet-based control networks • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical for reviewing and modifying schematics and panel layouts • Ability to work flexible and irregular hours that may vary due to customer needs and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays as project calendar or deadlines dictate Salary Information • Up to $115,000 • On-site at HQ's in Milwaukee, WI • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 15% travel We’re looking forward to connecting with you and are excited to help you make your next career move!
