Job Summary The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, providing timely repairs. • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and inventory. • Read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repair tasks. • Perform residential painting and fabrication tasks as needed. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and safety standards are met. • Lead small projects or initiatives related to facility improvements. Skills • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various equipment. • Proficiency in using CMMS for tracking maintenance activities. • Solid understanding of electrical systems, including troubleshooting capabilities. • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. • Experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on safety protocols. • Leadership skills to guide team members during projects or training sessions. • Familiarity with reading schematics for effective problem-solving. • Skills in residential painting and basic fabrication techniques.
