Role Overview We’re hiring a detail-focused operator to run punch press operations and support related fabrication tasks, ensuring parts meet exact specifications and ship on time. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity based in Mesquite, TX. Compensation & Schedule • Pay: $17.05–$19.00 DOE • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (open to either) • Overtime: As needed during the week and on Saturdays • Type: Temp-to-Perm • Location: Mesquite, TX Mission Become cross-trained across the plant and ready to backfill roles wherever production needs arise. We value candidates with 3+ years of experience and a stable, consistent work history. Core Responsibilities • Operate punch press equipment to produce quality sheet metal parts; assist on press brake when needed. • Review work orders and drawings; plan work by ship dates to meet customer timelines. • Verify material type and thickness using a caliper prior to fabrication. • Load material, run production, and maximize machine utilization. • Perform routine preventive maintenance (lubrication, air leak checks, etc.). • Finish parts by deburring, filing, and sanding to company standards. • Conduct in-process and final inspections to customer specifications; deliver approved parts to the warehouse. • Maintain material readiness; promptly alert supervisor when materials are needed. • Keep work areas organized, safe, and clean; follow all safety practices. • Accurately document materials, production counts, and job requirements in ERP. • Collaborate positively with teammates and supervisors. Minimum Qualifications • Experience in a metal fabrication shop (shear, punch presses, die sharpening, deburring). • Knowledge of metals and finishing practices. • Proficient with tape measures and calipers. • Ability to assess function, aesthetics, and quality; clean finished products as required. • Computer literacy and ERP data entry capability. • Experience operating and/or programming CNC equipment (laser, punching). • Use of table saws and common power tools (drills, staple gun, screwdrivers, banding tools). • Lift up to 50 lbs; safely handle sheet metal and run multiple machines. • Reliable, team-first approach. Education & Experience • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent competency via work experience. • 2–3 years of production experience; 3+ years and strong tenure preferred.
