Location: Remote Position Type: Contract Job Description: GCP Cloud Engineer/Architect " Cloud Architecture and Design: Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring solutions meet business requirements and security standards. " Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, manage, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of GCP resources, promoting consistency and repeatability. " Automation and CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and deployment of applications and infrastructure, improving development velocity and reliability. " Security and Compliance: Implement and manage robust security controls, identity and access management (IAM), and network security configurations to protect cloud environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations. " Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to provide expert guidance on GCP best practices, troubleshoot complex issues, and support application modernization efforts. " Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of GCP environments, while actively managing and optimizing costs. Hands on Teraform coding. Qualifications: " Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. " Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role. " Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server administration, and system security. " Proficient in implementing and managing virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). " Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their associated services.
