Introduction to the team Expedia Group's Advertising Product & Technology team builds the AI‑powered ad platforms that connect travel advertisers to high‑value travelers across Expedia Group’s brands and our broader media network. We design, build, and operate the end‑to‑end ads stack—from campaign tools and targeting to bidding, delivery, and measurement—so partners can easily express their goals and understand performance, while travelers see relevant, low‑friction ad experiences that are well-integrated into their journey. Our Advertising Technical Program Management team acts as a force multiplier for Expedia Group Advertising Product and Technology team turning complex, cross‑domain strategy into outcome‑based roadmaps and multi‑team delivery aligning across functions and using data and experimentation to drive reliable, cost‑aware execution of our most important bets. In this role, you will: Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-team technical programs, defining program structure, success metrics, and delivery plans that align with organization and product strategy across multiple domains Translate technical and architectural requirements into actionable program roadmaps, including system design considerations, API design interfaces, and data flow dependencies, ensuring cohesive execution across services and platforms Drive cross-functional collaboration among engineering, product, MLS, Analytics, and commercial teams to identify risks, manage tradeoffs, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of technical solutions Establish and continuously improve program-level processes, governance, and execution standards, using data and metrics to monitor progress, manage scope, and enable predictable, repeatable delivery at scale Safely integrate and operate AI/ML enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including aligning teams on requirements, dependencies, and risks for AI-driven components and workflows Champion familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products by ensuring teams understand how to leverage these capabilities while maintaining compliance, reliability, and customer trust Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years for Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years for Master’s in Engineering, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience leading technical programs Several years of experience managing technical programs or large-scale projects in a software, data, or platform engineering environment, with ownership of multi-team or multi-service initiatives Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of technical programs, including requirements alignment, system and API design inputs, dependency management, execution tracking, and risk/issue management across multiple domains Demonstrated experience using data, metrics, and dashboards to track program health, drive decision-making, and improve delivery performance for engineering teams Experience coordinating delivery of services, APIs, data models, or platform capabilities in a cloud-based or distributed systems environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading cross-organizational technical programs at scale, including complex system design, API contracts across services, and data modeling that supports high-volume, global customer use cases Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and architecture decisions within program scope by synthesizing inputs from engineers, architects, and product leaders and aligning them to business outcomes Experience integrating and scaling AI/ML enabled capabilities within programs, such as personalization, ranking, decisioning, or intelligent automation, with attention to safety, reliability, and performance Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, including partnering with data science and engineering teams to responsibly incorporate AI capabilities into technical roadmaps Advertising experience is a plus The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
