This is a remote position. Child Care Aware of America (CCAoA) is the only national organization that supports every part of the child care system. Summary of Position: 100% Remote Role The Product Manager leads product management for CCAoAs suite of custom software, with a particular focus on Military Program products. This role involves defining product vision, prioritizing user needs, incorporating user feedback, negotiating requirements with internal stakeholders, collaborating on solutions with engineering, cultivating a product backlog, and acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and cross-functional team(s). The Product Manager plays a key role in enhancing the digital experience for military families and providers. Position Duties And Responsibilities • Drive RFP-Based Delivery: Translate RFP requirements into actionable product goals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. • Prioritize User Needs: Gather and synthesize feedback from stakeholders to shape capabilities that improve enhanced referral processes, data use, and data accessibility. • Manage Product Backlog: Work closely with our partner(s) to create a prioritized backlog of features related to data sourcing, data ingestion, transformation, search, and warehouse integration. • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with internal and external software and data engineering subject matter experts and design to deliver scalable solutions for data pipelines and referral systems. • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment throughout project execution. • Human-Centered Design: Advocate for user-centric approaches in building referral workflows and data interfaces. • Define Success Metrics: Develop KPIs to measure product success. • Identify Optimization Opportunities: Recommend improvements for data flow, automation, and business processes to enhance efficiency and scalability. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities • Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. • Expertise with product management principles, including roadmap development and backlog prioritization. • Familiarity with RFP processes and translating contractual requirements into product deliverables. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder alignment. • Knowledge of agile methodologies and iterative development practices. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in data-driven or technology products. • Proven experience delivering products involving data sourcing, data ingestion, data pipelines, systems requiring search capabilities, and data warehouses. • Strong understanding of business process optimization and human-centered design principles. • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience with data technologies (SQL, APIs, cloud platforms) is a plus. Salary Information:The salary range reflected in this job posting is the hiring range for this position within the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Please note that a geographic differential will be applied to the salary for candidates hired from regions with a lower cost of living.
