Manage new product introduction and product improvement projects from RFQ to PPAP, lead project teams, report on project metrics, and establish project execution practices.
Bachelor's degree, 5-7 years automotive or relevant manufacturing experience, knowledge of vehicle quality systems, customer requirements, NPI/PIP, core tools, quality standards (IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001), SAP PLM, and strong communication skills.
We are currently seeking a Program Manager. The Program Manager position will be based out of the North Houston TX, facility. The role will manage new product introduction (NPI) and product improvement projects (PIP) from the customer RFQ phase to PPAP. Responsibilities: • Manage new product introduction projects (NPI) and product improvement projects (PIP) from the customer RFQ phase to PPAP. • Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals and adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. • Report on project success criteria, results, metrics, and lessons learned. • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence. • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, and tools for successful project execution. • Prepare estimates, where necessary, and a detailed project plan for all phases of the project • Manage project scope and changes. • Act as an internal quality control check for the project Requirement • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in the Automotive Industry or relevant experience • Extensive manufacturing experience in operations serving commercial & passenger vehicles. • Experience with vehicle quality systems and processes (DFMEA, DFM, DVPR, etc.). • Extensive Experience with Customer Contact and specific Customer Requirements • Extensive Experience in NPI, PIP, Launching projects, and Program Management. • Core Tools, Control Plan, QA Systems, 8D, Layered Process Audits, Lean Tools • Knowledge IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001 • Experience in SAP PLM • Efficient, proactive, and hands-on approach • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
