We're seeking a visionary Vice President of Investor Relations to elevate how the investment community understands and values our market-leading position in digital operations management. The VP of Investor Relations (IR) will be responsible for ensuring the PagerDuty investor community understands the value of PagerDuty as a high quality investment opportunity. You will own and execute PagerDuty's investor relations strategy including communications to investors, analysts, and media that extend the PagerDuty story. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will serve as a key corporate spokesperson with investors, financial media, analysts, rating agencies, and other stakeholders. This position will up-level PagerDuty's IR process, protocols, and systems to build a best in class investor relations function, managing external parties and developing internal team capabilities. Additionally, you will expand PagerDuty's investor base while working closely with ESG stakeholders to communicate and expand upon PD's corporate and social responsibility efforts. How You Will Impact Our Vision Strategic Advisor: • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy and messaging aligned with company objectives and market positioning that articulates PagerDuty's competitive advantages, market opportunity, and long-term value proposition • Serve as an advisor to the CEO and CFO to ensure the Company's product, marketing and GTM strategy is properly understood, positioned and valued by the investment community. • Build strong relationships with, and provide senior leadership with insights, feedback and recommendations related to discussions with the investment community, reactions to business strategies, market and sector developments and commentary regarding events within the market and industry. • Lead all aspects of quarterly earnings—including preparation of quarterly financial press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, investor presentations and other associated materials, collaborating successfully across various leaders and functions. Storyteller: • Expand PD's proactive investor relations strategy and narrative, ensuring that the company's business strategy and execution of its strategy is understood by the analyst and investor community for them to value Pagerduty appropriately. • Educate employees on PagerDuty's company value proposition, stock performance, analyst coverage, and market sentiment, including the connection between their role in operational excellence and how it impacts market valuation, investor confidence and company growth Marketer: • Build a strategic proactive plan for targeted marketing activities to new and existing shareholders and potential sell-side research analysts that complements PD's overarching communications strategy. • Proactively engage with the investment community, building the company profile through investor and analyst events such as conferences, meetings, and non-deal roadshows. • Serve as primary spokesperson to the investment community, including institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and retail investors Industry Expert: • Maintain strong company and sector expertise; stay current on all company and related industry activity in order to be responsive to investors and media and to communicate effectively with management. • Combine strong financial analysis skills and broad industry knowledge in order to support the development of a broad range of investors, both generalists and specialists. About You • 12+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or corporate finance • 5+ years in senior investor relations role at a public technology company including successfully developing and implementing strategic, proactive IR plans that have delivered results. • Deep understanding of public company reporting requirements, SEC regulations, and corporate governance with expert financial modeling and analytical capabilities • Experience in SaaS or enterprise software is highly valued. • Ability to provide recommendations to the executive leadership team, and represent PagerDuty to varied stakeholders with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear investment themes • Possess a strong network of investment community relationships, including investors, analysts, rating agencies and financial media. • Demonstrated ability to work across the broader finance, accounting, strategy, product development, and sales functions to understand and influence business trends and incorporate this understanding into our external communications. • Ability to successfully manage and provide coaching/guidance to a small team • Keen intellect, unquestioned ethics, a sense of urgency to simultaneously make decisions and execute on both tactical and strategic projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; • CFA, MBA and experience as an equity research analyst or investment banking background preferred.
