Job Title: Area Director – Car Wash Operations Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Director to oversee multi-unit car wash operations across the greater Chicago area. This role is ideal for a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a track record of successfully managing 12 or more high-volume locations. The ideal candidate will bring operational excellence, people development skills, and a data-driven approach to support aggressive growth across the region. Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day operations of 12–20+ express and full-service car wash locations. Drive operational excellence by ensuring consistent performance across all sites in areas including safety, service quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Hire, train, develop, and retain high-performing site management teams and ensure consistent execution of company standards and policies. Analyze financial and operational data to identify performance gaps, implement improvements, and manage budgets, labor, and inventory controls. Champion the company’s culture and customer-first philosophy, building strong teams and fostering accountability at all levels. Work closely with senior leadership to execute regional strategies, growth plans, and performance objectives. Support new site openings, remodels, and market expansion initiatives. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to business operations. Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in the car wash, automotive services, retail, or quick-service industries. Proven success in managing at least 12 high-volume locations; experience overseeing 20+ locations is highly preferred. Strong background in P&L management, employee development, and operational process improvement. Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills. Data-driven decision-making with proficiency in operational and financial reporting. Willingness to travel regularly across assigned markets. Must be open to relocation if not currently based in the Chicago area.
